Prevail already has a multitude of features built-in to help make your life easier. As time goes by, we realize there may be other features you would like to see. Unfortunately, some of these ideas would require major changes to the program. That's why we've developed the Prevail Plug-In! These small add-on programs allow us to create the features you need without having to upgrade your software.

Prevail Plug-In programs are not required for Prevail to work. You have the choice of downloading them or not. There's no additional setup required. Just download the program to one of your workstations and run the file. Once you've done that, you'll have a new option under the Plug-Ins menu in Prevail. It's as simple as that. Best of all, they're free! If you have any questions about them or would have an idea for a new plug-in, please let us know!

Palm Pilot Export
We know that there's some information that you'd like to take with you when you leave the office. The Prevail Palm Pilot Export plug-in lets you do just that. It allows you to transfer information from your Prevail system right to your Palm Pilot. You can send client information, appointments, to-dos and Rolodex entries to your Palm device.

The simple wizard will step you through choosing the information you want, and exporting the Palm Pilot compatible files. Use the Palm Desktop software to import the files created by the Palm Export plug-in, then Hot Sync your Palm. Once your data is transferred, it will all be easily accessible in the familiar Palm programs.

Timer
Ever finish with a phone call and wonder just how much time you spent? With the Timer plug-in there's no more guesswork. The Timer tracks exactly how much time you spend on a particular task. Just start the Timer and click the Play button. The timer will tick away the seconds until you press the Stop button. You'll then have the option of typing in a description of the task and any details about it. When you've finished the task, the description, detail and precise amount of time is automatically entered on the client's Time tab.

Interrupted? No problem! Click the Pause button and the time will stop until you click "Play" again. Are you on the phone with a client, preparing a pleading for another client and typing up a document for another client's insurance company? No problem! Start three separate timers and keep track of all your tasks. You can have an unlimited number of timers running for any number of different clients.
