ADS 6.20 & 7.xx will not run on Windows Vista. You may receive a checksum error after the installation.
Solution:
Run away! Neither ADS 6.2 or ADS 7.x run on Vista. Prevail cannot be hosted on a Vista peer-to-peer server. The client will need Windows XP/2000/2003 to allow ADS to operate.
John Kimble is currently working on Prevail working with ADS 8 which should resolve this issue

This is no longer the case. ADS 7.1.0.23 is Vista compatible. 6.20 and the earlier versions of 7.x are not compatible.
