Chat was set up originally but never been usable.  Northing in your handbook addresses how to set up chat.  Employees initals are in Chat With Screen as:

LDB on []  (etc)

but when I type her a message I get Status:  Error occured

 

what am I doing wrong, this has never worked!!!!

You will need to check the chat settings in 2 locations.

Within Prevail, go to Options/Settings and then click on Network.  Make sure TCP/IP is checked.  If it is not, check it and then Save and exit Prevail for the change to take place.

Go to Start/All Programs/Prevail/Prevail Settings and make sure TCP/IP is checked.  If it is not, check and the Save and exit Prevail for the change to take place.
