I have outlook sync runing at startup. However, I'm looking at my task bar and notice that it is missing. It was there after startup (and Prevail and Outlook have both been continually open), but now it's missing. I need outlook sync to run all the time. What am i doing wrong? Thanks, Russell Keener

With outlook sync running at startup a few different issues can arrise. If your .pst file is on the network and the location is mapped to a drive letter, the sync may begin before it has access to the .pst file.

There are a few different ways to handle this situation but my reccomendation is:

Set a windows scheduled task to run the the c:>prevail>outlooksync.exe or c:>prevail_client>outlooksync.exe and different intervals during the day. For instance 10 am, 1 pm and 4pm. Also set the outlooksync.exe to run once rather than consistenly.

The setting can be found here:

Registry: HKCU>software>prevailsettings>outlook sync>One Cycle Only

Set to yes

Within the Prevail.ini

Location:

c:>windows>prevail.ini

under the [outlooksync] section locate the One Cycle Only=

and after the = type 'Yes'
