Marketing Makeover

The marketing of legal services has always been something of a haphazard and reactive discipline. In the world of ever-increasing competition, this is no longer the case for most forward-thinking firms. Although you may not "advertise" in the traditional sense, you need to always be thinking about effectively marketing your services. Fortunately, you already have a powerful tool at your disposal to help you in this process—your Prevail case management software. Here are a few interesting statistics found in a recent survey of 75 law firms conducted by the Primary Research Group.

  • The firms produce a mean of 3.65 newsletters. Some do not produce any while others produce as many as 16.

  • 92.73 percent of the firms that produce newsletters indicated that the newsletters are written and edited entirely in-house.

  • 62.86 percent of the firms that have operational web sites post newsletters to the sites, while 64.79 post speeches and articles to the sites.

  • 28.00 percent of the firms have advertised on the radio.
