Making Prevail merge with Word XP (2002)

Open Regedit (Start> Run…> type in “regedit”, then hit OK)

Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Expand Software
Expand Microsoft
Expand Office
Expand 11.0 for Word 2003 or 10.0 for Word 2002 (XP)
Expand Word
Expand Options

Right-click in blank space in right window and select ‘New’> ‘DWORD Value’
Set Name to “SQLSecurityCheck”

 

Right-click on name and select ‘Modify’
Set Value Data to “00000000”

Click ‘OK’

Also, check the c:\prevail\header.doc for F530 <tab> last entry

This fix needs to be done on each machine that is experiencing this merge issue,

and it is unique to each user profile.  If you have multiple users who log into the same

computer with different network logins, you will need to run this fix for each of those logins.
